This is just too precious…

Aloooha Everyone:

All the pictures in the world that I could post on this blog cannot come close what you’re about to see… Daisy from Tirol Austria made the best lil’ video anyone could ever hope to receive. She sent it in to us a few days ago and had this to say:

“Hi Jules,
with that movie I want to thank you – because you made skiing so interesting and funny for me, because you brought me to work out by myself for the good feeling I get afterwards and because you made me believe that I can achieve anything I want! :D

And I couldn’t have wished for anything more… besides doing my best and having fun while doing it, I really am passionate about sharing that message with people. Daisy, thank you for this video! You win a special prize! Stephan will email you and let you know what it is you win for the “best fans ever award.”

For those of you with special projects and artwork like this, please send them in to Stephan and if we love it, we’ll send you a cool prize…

OK, without further blabbing, here it is… “Schifoan” by Daisy:

XOXO,

Jules

PS: don’t you just love the fact that the clay figure actually resembles me quite well? Posture and all? Amazing work… I love it!

A Beach Workout Day

Today was an outdoor training day with the girls. Megan McJames, Haley Duke, Keely Kelleher, and I did some beach workouts. The gym wasn’t available to us, so we decided to do some conditioning sprints and sidestep hurdles along with a whole host of other excercises. With the sinking action of the sand, you really have to work to get moving.

Uphill Sprints – Way steeper and tiring than you would think!

Girls Trip to Moab: Days 1 and 2

I’ve been back on the mainland for various items on the agenda: strength and conditioning testing at the new Park City US Ski Team facility (wow!) and an NBC video shoot for the Vancouver Winter Games… and last but not least, a girls outing to Moab! It was truly an amazing experience. Here my pictoral account…

Day 1

Girls just wanna have fun!!!  Day one of our girls trip to Moab, we were off for an all day 13 mile bike adventure through Canyonlands National Park.  thats Sara on the left, me, April, then Mom

Day 2

Rise and shine to climb 300 feet to the top of Ancient Art Tower.  What a rush. 5-8 to 5-11c three pitches. lots of adrenaline, you dont want to slip, no matter how many ropes are attached!!!!  From
the top to both sides 1,000 ft cliff walls!!!!!   After that, April
and I went to challenge the slick rock trail! That was the best bike ride I have ever been on. It was so much fun, like a never ending terrain park.

Girls Trip to Moab: Days 3

Day 3

Off to another beautiful ride, close to Moab, tons of technical climbing…. wasn’t our favorite going up, but the way down was a blast.  Then off Arches National park for a sunset picnic.  oh yeah, and in between April and I floated down the colorado river, which was raging, with nothing but sneakers…. not recommended.  It was a little bit rougher than we thought it would be to say the least! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
