Back States Side!
Hi Everyone!
Well, New Zealand was awesome. Getting back on snow and feeling how I was skiing was a bit of a validation to my summer training on Maui. Damn though, the boots were soooo tight! I guess that’s what happens when you wear slippers for several months… trying to squeeze back into boots that tiny is not comfortable.
That’s OK though.
About my training… one of the things I concentrate on a lot is body control and constantly honing in on my body awareness. I’m starting to believe that the body really is a mechanical thing, and if all the parts can be guided in synchronicity and the correct muscles are engaged, then you put yourself at a real advantage. That’s why I loooove rockin the Pilates!
As you see in this video here, the instructor is constantly reminding me what muscles I should engage and what I might not be focusing on. It’s a ot of micro-managing, but honestly, I am open to it and in the end, my body really feels the difference.
I recommend Pilates to anyone who wants to get to know their body a little better.
OK… we’re off to Chile this Friday. Want to get in some friends and family time while I’m in Cali.
