Thoughts on Soelden

First race jitters out of the way!

We had our first comp for the season this past Saturday, and it was great to get out of the start gate!

Conditions were pretty tough for Soelden which says a lot, cause its normally pretty tough already!  It was snowing and raining a bit a couple days before the race, so the conditions were less than great, but they broke through a tiny bit.

Skiing was ok for me.  It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, but it’s good to get back up to speed, and I felt really comfortable, just not super fast.

I’m looking forward to some relaxing and recharging in Maui!  I will be back on snow the 14th in Colorado!  and then we race in Aspen! yay.

I love races on home turf!

Soelden Tomorrow!

Yes!  I can see the race from my hotel room… not literally.

I am very excited, skiing is going well and its only a couple of days away!  First test on my new body coming saturday… stay tuned.. and in the meantime, enjoy this bit of Julia entertainment!

Nike Training Video

Hey Everybody:

The season is drawing closer and closer! Not even a week left until Soelden. PLUS, there seems to be good news from the glacier: there’s been some good snowfall there and it’s looking like the race is on. Ohhh yeah baby!

Other than my excitement for getting the show on the road, I just wanted to shoot you a quick video that my friends at Nike just sent over to me. This video is part of a larger Nike campaign that features yours truly… This particular video is about the Nike women training for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Check it!

Julia Seventeen Magazine

Just ran across this article in SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE… yeah, I know: you’re probably wondering what they heck I’m doing reading it.

What can I say? Hahah… no really though, a friend sent this over to me letting me know that the interview was finally published. Check it out on the official SEVENTEEN WEBSITE.

All goodover here in Europe. A little nervous about the snow conditions for Soelden since it looked pretty snowless lately. Been hearing of some snowfall though in recent days. So that’s good!

I’m chompin’ at the bit to get the competition going, test out this body I’ve been working on over the summer!

Alrighty… more later!

XOXOX,

Jules
