Hi Everyone!

You ever have one of those moments when everything becomes absolutely, positively clear to you? You know what I mean? Like you’re driving along (or walking) and suddenly, this sense of peace overcomes you, this sense of calm, as though everything in life seems to make sense, as though you were born for that moment?

I think some people call those moments “epiphanies” or something.

No, I’m not talking about my Olympic Gold. I’m talking about this…

Dreyson, Miley and MeCan you tell I'm fixated?

How adorable! Something triggered that “magic moment” feeling within me, seeing these two little precious, sweet, vulnerable bundles of joy. I looked at them and saw what we adults should stive for on a daily basis: clear minds, non-judgment and unquenchable thirst for learning. Everything these children do seems like it’s a beautiful mystery to them that they have the pleasure of unlocking.

Dreyson: “Ohhhh look, what’s that scruffy, wrinkly thing I’m feeling here, sis?”

Miley: “Why, I think that’s called ‘daddy’!”

Dreyson: “Ahhhhh cool beans… daddy!”

Yeah… imagine we were able to do that as adults. Just absorb and learn without calling it good or bad, right or wrong, beautiful or ugly. Without calling each other by hurtful names or petty insults. Yeah… babies radiate this love, this gratitude (like when they are fed or coddled and smothered in kisses) and not once do I get a sense of animosity or worse, hate. They just love.

And I know they will learn what they need from their loving parents, Daron and Michelle, to become fully functional and awesome adults. Ha! To think, that by the time they turn 18, I’ll be 42! That’s hilarious.

So, I figure, if I take this non-judgment to my skiing, I will be able to let go and let flow! No matter where the flow takes me, I’ll be there as childlike as possible!

Enjoy the races this week from Whistler and next from Zwiesel!

Byyyyyyee!
Jules

PS: Just came back from my race … THIRD PLACE BABY! I think letting go helped me.
