It’s always an amazing feeling walking into the Opening Ceremonies representing the USA! this was my 3rd time, and it is just as amazing every time. We sort of missed the early bus down there so I spent my time playing Dance Dance Revolution in the athlete village. Then after all the stress about being late, we got there with plenty of time to see all the athletes and walk and enjoy the show! I hope you enjoy my pictures!

Sounds great, keep that feeling. I'm able to see the DH, when I fetched the tickets I found out that I'm not going home wed night but thurs, on the phone to the hotel, they had room for me for one more night. Becoming absentminded, more than usual but that's not unusual. I also have good hope to be able to see the SC at work when I'm waiting for the night-train home.

Vancouver website sez that DH winner Defago is an architect- that's a time consuming job, how does he pull that off !? He designed himself a good run-Yo Defago, way to go ! (making us architects look good).

NBC commentary sez: Bode behind at finish by 7.8' (.01 sec. = 10.5")- so Bode 21" out of silver- bet a patented Hermanator start would have bought him that. You Tube videos of Hermann proved one thing: he attacked at all times- Austrian style/what else is new? : "When in doubt ATTACK ! (and when not in doubt as well- or something like that).
