Rock Running
I love to mixup my workouts. Just hitting the gym and working the stationary bike and weights alone has never been my thing. Gotta keep it interesting!
So, here and there we’ll throw in a rock-running session.
Running rocks involves a good sandy bottom beach with a large area underwater to work with, a large rock that will hold your body underwater and the sheer willpower to endure this type of training. You dive down (usually about 10 feet or so), grab hold of the rock, lean forward and start to sprint underwater while holding the rock. They run as far as they can, then let go, surface for air and repeat these steps until tired.
Rock running improves your stamina, strength and ability to hold breath underwater.
